Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KnownX MPT ("the Platform") operated by KNOWN Corporation Ltd. ("KNOWN," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

KnownX MPT is an orbital simulation and mission planning tool for Low Earth Orbit missions. The Platform is provided in several tiers: Free Trial, Academic, Pro, and Enterprise. Features and access levels vary by tier as described on our product page.

3. Accounts and Registration

You may need to register for an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information.

4. Licences and Seats

A paid subscription or a trial gives your organisation a licence to use the Platform on a set number of computers ("seats") for the period paid for or the length of the trial. One seat is one computer on which the Platform is activated. You may move a seat from one computer to another. A licence key is confidential to your organisation; you are responsible for use of the Platform under your key, and should replace the key from your customer account if it is disclosed.

The Platform confirms its licence with our servers when it starts. A licence that cannot be confirmed for an extended time, has been revoked, or is past the period paid for will stop the Platform from running until it is renewed. An offline licence is available on request for computers without an internet connection.

5. Quotes, Fees and Payment

Prices are stated per seat, before tax, for a monthly or yearly period. A quote sets out the edition, seats, period, price and payment terms, and is valid until the date shown on it. Accepting a quote online places an order on those terms. We then issue an invoice, payable by the due date shown, by the payment methods printed on it. Any tax that applies is shown separately on the quote and the invoice. Licence keys are issued when the first invoice is paid.

6. Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew for a further period of the same length at the price agreed in your quote, unless a discount in that quote was stated to apply for a limited number of periods. We send the renewal invoice before the current period ends: 30 days before for a yearly subscription and 7 days before for a monthly one. You may turn renewal off at any time from your customer account or by writing to us; the subscription then runs to the end of the period paid for and ends.

If an invoice is not paid by its due date we will send reminders. If a renewal invoice remains unpaid after the paid period ends, the licence stops working until the invoice is paid. Fees already paid are not refunded for the remainder of a period, except where the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.

7. Trials

A trial is free, runs for the number of days stated when it is issued, and ends automatically. No payment details are taken and no charge follows a trial unless you accept a quote.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Platform
• Circumvent access controls or usage limitations
• Redistribute or resell Platform access without written authorization
• Use the Platform to simulate or plan activities that violate international law

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its software, design, content, and brand assets, is owned by KNOWN Corporation Ltd. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Output generated by you through the Platform remains your intellectual property, subject to the terms of your license.

10. Limitation of Liability

KNOWN provides the Platform "as is" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall KNOWN be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to mission failures, data loss, or consequential damages.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for violation of these terms, at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Kigali, Rwanda.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Platform.
