1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, organisation name, and message content when you sign up, contact us, or request access to the Platform.
We also collect standard usage data: pages visited, browser type, device information, and interaction data through analytics.
Licence and customer account data
When KnownX MPT is activated and each time it confirms its licence, it sends us an identifier for the computer, the computer's name, the name of the signed-in user if provided, the application version, and the time. We use this to count the seats in use on your licence and to show your organisation which computers are activated. Mission scenarios and simulation data stay on your computers and are not sent to us.
For customers we also keep the records needed to supply and bill the Platform: contact names and email addresses, quotes, orders, invoices, payments received, and licence history. Signing in to the customer account uses a one-time link sent to an email address we already hold; we do not store a password for it.
KnownX Mission Companion
When you send a message to the KnownX Mission Companion, the message, the conversation in that session, and a summary of the mission open in the workspace (such as object names, spacecraft figures, sequence steps and validation status) are sent to our service and passed to a third-party AI model provider to produce the reply. Requests are identified by your licence. We record how much the Companion is used on each licence. If you do not use the Companion, none of this is sent.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
- Process access requests and account registration
- Send updates, newsletters, and platform communications (with consent)
- Respond to enquiries and support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers who help operate the Platform (e.g., email delivery, hosting), under confidentiality agreements. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, and we will remove your data from active lists upon request.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@knowncorp.com.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
8. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in Rwanda and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
